CalWORKs provides temporary financial support, as well as job training, education, to pregnant women, eligible families and eligible non-citizens that have child(ren) in the home. Services could include:

  • Payments for Childcare
  • Diapers
  • Transportation
  • Ancillary support like books, tools, fees, and clothing
  • Mental Health services
  • Substance abuse services
  • Domestic Abuse services and
  • Personal Counseling

Families may also be eligible for housing assistance, or the CalWORKs home visiting program. CalWorks Home Visiting Program
